     Katherine Jane Capron was born on 2 May 1924 in South Butler, Wayne, New York.¹ She was the daughter of Forrest Capron.¹ Katherine Jane Capron married Bernard Caster circa 1947 in New York.¹ Katherine Jane Capron died on 5 February 2001 at age 76 in Rochester General Hospital, Rochester, Monroe, New York.¹ She obituary reads " Caster, Katherine Jane - Katherine Jane Caster, 76, of South Butler, died unexpectedly on February 5, 2001 in Rochester General Hospital. Katherine was born May 2, 1924 in South Butler to Forrest and Florence Cooney Capron. She and her husband Bernard, who predeceased her, were married for 54 years. She assisted him in his artistic endeavors through the years. She expressed her own creativity in many ways, including creating imaginative soft sculptures and writing expressive letters that were welcomed and appreciated by friends and relatives. She was an avid reader all her life and enjoyed gardening and listening to classical music. She was known for her generous unselfish nature and was always willing to offer compassion and assistance to people in need. She was a long-time member of the South Butler United Methodist Church and the Wayne County Council for the Arts. Her nurturing spirit will live on in the memories of all the lives she touched. Interment will be in the Butler-Savannah Cemetery. Katherine was predeceased by her husband, Bernard Caster and her parents Forrest and Florence Capron. She is survived by three children: Carol (Karl) Schantz of Newark, Cyril (Cheryl) Caster of Landenberg, PA, and Allan Caster of Savannah; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Bertha (Robert) Kelly of South Butler, and Shirley Wesley of Savannah; brothers, Forrest Capron of Waterloo and Russell Capron of Savannah; nieces and nephews."¹ She was buried in Butler-Savannah Cemetery, Butler, Wayne, New York.¹

     Bernard Caster married Katherine Jane Capron, daughter of Forrest Capron, circa 1947 in New York.¹ Bernard Caster died before 2001.¹

     Bertha Capron is the daughter of Forrest Capron.¹
