     Mary Matteson was born on 6 January 1824 in Warwick, Kent, Rhode Island. She married Henry Capron, son of William Capron and Sukey Weeden, on 14 June 1841 in East Greenwich, Kent, Rhode Island, by Elder Thomas Tillinghast.1,2 Mary Matteson died on 2 April 1888 at age 64.
     Mary Matteson was also known as Polly Matteson. She appeared on the census of 1870 at Warwick, Kent, Rhode Island, as the mother-in-law of the head of the household, Daniel Hall.3
