Information & common failures on these clusters.....
- Regardless of what you may have been told or read 1999 is different than the 2000 - 2002 clusters. The 1999 cluster has different software for the air bag function. Installing the wrong cluster will cause the air bag light not to function correctly.
- These clusrters all suffer from a common problem.... Dead or intermittent odometer/park indicator display.
- If your cluster does not have a transmission temperature gauge you can install a cluster with this option and it will function perfect. All the above trucks are pre-wired from the factory for this feature.
- Your truck or SUV can be operated without the cluster installed, there is no security code that will prevent it from running. The driver will be responsable for speed and all other functions of the vehicle if driving without the cluster installed.
- If your fuel gauge is erratic, reading empty when the tank is full, you have a bad sending unit in the tank. Replacing the speedometer will not correct this problem
- To extract the hours from the cluster, perform the following: With the key off..... press and hold the trip button located in the cluster. After several seconds the cluster will display the engine hours.

- This cluster has been fully rebuilt with the latest version upgrade available.
- The software program has been updated with the newest version available.
- The entire unit has been checked for any defective components.
- All factory updates have been performed to correct any defects in the original design.
- All solder joints have been checked and repaired as needed.
- All back lights have been replaced as needed.
- Finally a complete computer test of all functions has been performed.
- Included is a full 1 year guarantee that is provided by me, you don't have to go to a dealer for service.
- The cluster you will receive will be in excellent cosmetic condition.

Remember this is an exchange program, after installation of my rebuilt unit, you are required to mail your defective unit back to me to complete the transaction and receive positive feedback. This will also activate your 1 year guarantee. Failure to do so will result in receiving a negitive feedback, this will also null and void the guarantee. A $100 deposit will be charged at the time of purchase, but will be refunded to your account when your defective unit arrives to me with the supplied paperwork. The ebay price does not include the $100 deposit. Plain Silverado clusters are accepted in exchange. Sorry no water damage or completely dead clusters will be accepted.
