Fill in the board below with the provided starting numbers. Each of the 81 squares in the game grid below contains a 3x3 number selection grid. Go ahead, double click a few of them and see what happens. Once you get the hang of it, refresh the page and it will be empty again.
Once you're sure you've copied the puzzle correctly lock it down. You might also want to make a copy in a new window so if you really get stuck and realize you've made a mistake you can start over without re-entering the puzzle. You can make as many copies as you like.
You can also make a checkpoint without opening a new window-- the "Make Checkpoint" link will reload the page while preserving the current board state. If you make multiple checkpoints, you can use the back and forward buttons to navigate between them. You can even bookmark the checkpoint or send it to a friend in an e-mail!
When you've filled in the whole board, you've solved it. This Sudoku interface won't let you make an obviously illegal move, so if you can fill the board (excluding page/URL hacking), the solution is correct!
Play and have fun (and once you win, try a harder puzzle)!!!
If you accidentally select an incorrect number for a square, you can double click the number and the selector grid will reappear.
If you can figure out through logic that a square can't possibly have a specific number, you can also click once on a colored square to "mark" it as such. It'll turn pale grey to indicate that it's not an option. You can turn it back later by clicking it again (once) if you realize you were wrong.

Reloading this page will reset the game to the last checkpoint,
which means you could lose some work. Read the
instructions (#6 is about
checkpoints) for more details on how to make checkpoints.
