DISCIPLES CENTER for PUBLIC WITNESS
The mission of the
DISCIPLES CENTER for PUBLIC WITNESS is to promote more informed, thoughtful, prayerful,
and effective involvement in public witness and justice advocacy by members, activists, and leaders of the
Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
This includes
* providing opportunities for Disciples to explore the role of religion in public life
* informing Disciples about public policy issues and concerns
* educating Disciples about effective ways to engage in public policy advocacy
* helping Disciples advocate the public policy views and values of our General Assembly to policy makers and public officials
The Center carries out its mission in a number of ways:
