Rev. Dr. Ken Brooker Langston
COORDINATOR
The Rev. Dr. Ken Brooker Langston is an ordained minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
Besides serving as the coordinator of the Disciples Center for Public Witness at National City Christian Church, Ken also carries out his ministry as the Director of the Disciples Justice Action Network,
the co-convener of the Disciples Advocacy & Witness Network (DAWN)
of the Christian Church Capital Area,
the co-facilitator of Protestant Justice Action,
and the co-chair of Equal Partners in Faith.

Rev. Dr. William Chris Hobgood
DISTINGUISHED SENIOR FELLOW for AFRICAN and GLOBAL CONCERNS
Born as the child of lifelong Disciples missionaries in the Republic of Congo,
the Rev. Dr. William Chris Hobgood cares passionately about the church, about Africa,
and about the need to counter both personal and institutional forms of racism.
He has pastored congregations in Kentucky, Indiana, and Virginia,
served as a regional minister in Arkansas and the
Capital Area,
and recently served as the General Minister and President of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
Chris is an antiracism trainer and the author of several books about congregational life and pastoral ministry.

Sara Critchfield
ASSOCIATE for INTERNATIONAL POLICY
Sara Critchfield is the Associate for International Policy
at the
Disciples Center for Public Witness. She is also Policy Advocate at the United Church of Christ's
Justice and Witness Ministries office in Washington, DC. Sara brings many gifts and
talents to this joint position, including experience in design, electronic advocacy,
young adult ministries, and international policy.
She is excited about living out the growing partnership between
the Disciples of Christ and
the United Church of Christ as
a staff member shared by the Center and the JWM DC office.
Sara served as one of three Disciples delegates to
the 2006 Assembly
of the World Council of Churches
in Porto Alegre, Brazil.

Nathan Hill
ASSOCIATE for COMMUNICATIONS and YOUNG ADULT ACTIVISM
Hailing from southwest Oklahoma, Nathan J. Hill is the Associate for Communications and
Young Adult Activism at the
Disciples Center for Public Witness.
He is also the Regional Young Adult & Youth Minister for the
Christian Church Capital Area
and a full time M.Div. student at
Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC.
Nathan has served the church in many capacities, through ecumenical relationships,
local congregational ministries, and ongoing justice & peace work.
As an intern in the DC-based
Gethsemane Mission Year Program,
he worked on issues of hunger and poverty at the
Capital Area Food Bank.
As a professional writer, he authored articles for
DisciplesWorld magazine.
And as a leader on the
Young Adult Commission, Nathan continues to guide
young adult ministry efforts for the Disciples of Christ.
This includes running the growing web blog and discussion site,
DisciplesConnect.com.

Rev. Dr. Laird Thomason
SENIOR FELLOW for HEALTH and HEALTH CARE CONCERNS
The Rev. Dr. Laird Thomason serves as the Senior Fellow for Health and Health Care Concerns at the Disciples Center for Public Wintess at National City Christian Church. He also works part-time as a chaplain with Capital Hospice, the largest and third oldest not-for-profit hospice in the country.
Ordained at Wakonda Christian Church in Des Moines, Laird is a P.K. (preacher's kid) who has served congregations in the Christian Church Capital Area for most of his career. He received his undergraduate degree from Drake University, his M.Div. from the Divinity School, and his D. Min. from Lancaster Theological Seminary in Pennsylvania.
Since moving to Maryland in 1971, Laird has been active in the work of the Christian Church Capital Area. He served on the CCCA Regional Board for many years, chairing committees and commissions dealing with education, outreach, and ministry. He also represented the CCCA on the General Board of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
