Notes: This disc, optimistically subtitled "The definitive collection of today's new music", was a freebie "with selected titles" purchased at England's HMV. It is packaged in a standard jewel case with a nice booklet describing the songs and artists appearing on the disc.

The booklet says the following about Liz: "As provocative, clever, and candid as ever, this self-titled release sees the American singer-songwriter moving away from introspection and indie-dom and flirting instead with hedonistic fun and the big, bad world of pop music. With production from The Matrix and crammed with infectious hooks—whilst liberally spiked with her trademark wordplay—it marks a shift into the mainstream for Liz Phair."
