What is MISGA?MISGA, founded in 1975, is an organization of almost 4500 senior golfers in Maryland and in parts of Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Virginia. Its goal is to help in the enjoyment of golf and to foster friendship and camaraderie through tournaments, fall golf trips to the south, and golf mixers on a home and home basis. Playing other local golf and country clubs without green fees makes this organization one of the "best deals in town". There are currently 58 clubs in MISGA. Division 5 MISGA consists of the following 10 clubs on the lower Eastern Shore:

-Your club must be a member of MISGA -You must have passed the test of time and be at least 50 years of age. -You must like golf. -You must like playing at the many fine courses in your area. -You must enjoy meeting new people and sharing the pleasures of golf.
Why Join?1. MISGA is the "best deal in town." 2. MISGA provides the opportunity to play from 15 up to 50 golf mixers a year at great golf courses depending on your club's schedule. 3. Fall trips to South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, or Florida are special vacations at reasonable cost. 4. While all events are competitive, good golf, excellent courses, gourmet lunches, and fellowship are the real incentives. 5. There are Division and State competitions and special local events that let you try out your golfing skills.
How Much Does It Cost?1. State / Local MISGA dues are currently about $15.00 to $20.00 per person per year depending on the member club. 2. A typical golf mixer costs $32 to $40 and includes coffee, donuts, cart, lunch, and prize money depending on the course you are playing. 3. Most MISGA groups have a 50/50 drawing to raise money for their local events.
