Basic Information
- The program is open to 5th and 6th grade students
- Beginning groups range in size from 4 - 14 students
- Second year groups range in size from 4 - 20 students
- Students meet for 30 minutes twice a week
- Students are required to bring their instrument and materials to every lesson
- Students are excused from the classroom for the lesson in accordance with the Office of Administration and Personnel, Administrative Bulletin, A-15-77, states in part, that, "Unless otherwise notified by the principal, students are expected to be in attendance in all general music, instrumental music, and physical education classes scheduled, in accordance with the teachers' master schedules posted
- The trial period lasts through the first marking period at which time the instructor will make a recommendation based on each student's progress. Students that wish to continue after the trial period are expected to remain in the program throughout the school year unless extenuating circumstances and parental contact occur.
