Prince George's County Elementary Solo and Ensemble Festival Information
The Prince George's County Solo and Ensemble Festival is held every spring and is designed to provide a positive experience for participating students who perform. Students have the opportunity to play for an adjudicator and each entry will receive verbal and written comments in addition to a rating. Parental support and encouragement are key to the success of each participant. Repertoire selections must come from the approved list.
To be eligible to participate in the festival 1) participants must be actively involved in the Prince George's County Public Schools Instrumental Music Program 2) participants must be at least second year students or performing on an equivalent level 3) participants are allowed to participate in a maximum of two events, only one of which may be a solo 4) participants must get the approval of the school instrumental music teacher bearing his/her signature that the above requirements have been met.
Students may select repertoire only from the Prince George's County Repertoire List.
