Parent Meeting
Dear Parent,
You are cordially invited to attend a meeting on
August 29, 2005

at University Park Elementary or
August 30, 2005 at 7:00PM at Thomas Stone Elementary or September
1, 2005
at
7 PM
at Hyattsville Elementary (directions below) to discuss the opportunities
available through the instrumental music program. These meetings are identical,
please attend only one.
The meeting will include the following topics:

Purpose and highlights of the instrumental music
program

Benefits of playing a musical instrument for your
child

Assessment and grading policies
-
Performance information
-
Instrument rental information (highly recommended)

Books/Accessories/Maintenance
-
Learning and practice guidelines
There will be a display of the instruments being taught. If you already
own an instrument for your child’s use, please bring the instrument to the
meeting. Please do not purchase any materials until you receive a confirmation
from the instrumental music teacher.
If you would like your child to take instrumental music lessons at school,
it is important that you attend this meeting so that your questions may be
answered. Although attendance is not required, it is highly encouraged. I am
looking forward to meeting you.
