Friday, Mom and Danae played DC tourists while I worked, and then I joined them in the Sculpture Garden for a jazz concert. We had a picnic and listened to the music.

We had an enjoyable time. When the band wasn't playing the beautiful fountain (that is seen in the background) was on.
Saturday morning we had the opportunity to go to the temple with Mom and do sealings. It was a great experience! (We didn't take a picture, but it was an important part of Mom's visit!)

After church we went for a drive around a couple DC sites. We went to the National Cathedral (shown here). It is an Episcopal Church with colorful stained glass windows.

And of course, a tourist trip to DC isn't complete without a picture of the Washington Monument. Framed nicely here with Danae & Mom.

What happened this week ...

Mom came to visit. It truly has been wonderful having so many visitors! Mom came Thursday night (the 17th). Friday, Mom & Danae went into DC to the Library of Congress and the Natural History Museum. After work, I met up with them in the Sculpture garden for a picnic and a latin jazz concert. We had an enjoyable time.

Saturday, we went to the DC temple and had a very special experience. We were able to do some family names (provided by Mom), witness a live sealing (which was an awesome experience), and do some temple names! The women went home and worked on new pillow covers for our couch, while I went to a leadership meeting. We reunited for dinner at Friendly's, where we enjoyed our oversized Nuts-over-Caramel ice cream sundae the most!!! :)

Sunday, after church, we went and saw the National Cathedral and the WWII Memorial.

That's it,
Jerry & Danae
