Taken June 28, 2004 Danae & I happened to be walking about with the camera and we happened upon this cute little baby abandoned in the middle of a parking lot ... ok, so maybe it wasn't EXACTLY like that! ... This is our newest niece, Cambria Cann (daughter of Damon & Clair Cann). |
Taken June 28, 2004 Here are the proud parents along with their adorable little girl! |

Taken June 28, 2004 Father Damon (who has graduated from being Brother Damon) holding his newborn girl. |

Taken June 28, 2004 The moving clan, along with the moving van (if you can't tell which one, it's the loaded down white van)! |
Awarded June 30, 2004 Jerry had a new and unique experience ... he went to girls camp (as a Priesthood helper) for a 24 hour shift. This is the camp necklace he was awarded. (The hammer was awarded for his "hard work" chopping wood for the campfire.) |

Taken June 30, 2004 This is a picture of the stake camp. The young women's camp was held in Caledonia, PA (a half an hour west of Gettysburg). |
Taken June 30, 2004 The camp site was truly beautiful. It was so nice to be surrounded by nature, and to enjoy the beauties God created. |

What happened this week ... This past week, on Monday the 28th the Cann moving expedition came through. Damon, Clair, Cambria, Dad (Bob) Cann, and Clair's sister Esther passed through Maryland on their way to Georgia. Damon is taking his first tenure-track position at Georgia University in Athens (after recently graduating from Stonybrook with his PhD in Political Science). We were glad to see them. We were also excited to meet our newest niece, Cambria. She is truly adorable (as is witnessed by the pictures above). Tuesday evening, I left to go up to Caledonia to serve a 24 hour shift as a Priesthood helper at Stake Young Women's Camp. It was a great experience, I got to meet some great people! This world is so beautiful!!! Then over the long holiday weekend we celebrated the 4th of July. We helped celebrate it for our stake by participating in a patriotic concert put on by the Washington Family Theater Singers (of which we are a part). Since it literally poured here in DC, the local fireworks were postponed until Monday the 5th. Monday, we went to a barbeque attended by many members of our ward. Later, we met up with them and enjoyed the College Park fireworks. Best wishes to all!
