The last of the azaleas! In the arboretum there is a hill that is covered with azaleas. Jerry believes azaleas are one of the Mid-Atlantic region's greatest beauties!

What happened this week ...

Natalie Shane and Dillan Powell, members of our ward and ward missionaries, moved out of the ward. We will miss them. In their honor, we had a BBQ picnic with them and the Sookrams on Tuesday.

Saturday, Danae and I went out for a picnic and a walk in the National Arboretum so Danae could look at and study the trees in preparation for her Maryland Licensed Tree Expert exam. The Licensed Tree Expert exam covers a broad array of topics including: tree identification (a cinch for Danae), cabling, bracing, and guying, fertilizing, and much more. You can only miss one or two questions from each of the 8 areas the exam covers. Danae passed all areas on her first try! Her employers and I are very proud of her!

Love,
Jerry & Danae
