Florence

CHI 2008 was in Florence Italy and the whole family joined Jerry there. Jerry was busy with the conference for most of the days - including the course he co-taught with his advisor Allison Druin and colleague Mona Leigh Guha. Several attendees were very pleased with the course, a couple commented it was the best they had ever attended (which was very kind and generous of them). Jerry also met and renewed associations with many people at the conference including his master's advisor from BYU, Dan Olsen.

We also had a lot of fun seeing the beautiful sites. (Although I took the two most beautiful things with me! :) Anyway, it was enjoyable, despite the unfortunate pick-pocketing experience Danae experienced.

It was nice to do several things together.
