What happened this week ... When we finally left Florence (which was delayed due to a bad experience with Budget rental), we went to Pisa. Looking at the pictures you can see how Pisa got its lean - a giant toddler pushed it over. We also visited the city of Lucca, which is a walled city. Cinque Terre (Five Lands) was the highlight of this section, if not the trip. It is a beautiful national park comprised of five towns along the northwestern coast of Italy. We started in Riomaggiore (the southernmost) and hiked to the the next city, took the train to the following, and then hiked for a couple hours along the coast to the next city. It was beautiful. If anyone is planning a trip to Italy - we highly recommend this as a destination (that is if you like nature) to spend at least a couple of days.
Love,
