Instructions for Installing the Presentations files. You should have downloaded packagepr.zip - The complete suite of packages, style sheet and documentation. (The Nov 2012 release of Presentations consolidates palettes and style sheets under single entries in their respective menus. It would be best to move an existing Presentations to a new folder, say InertApplications, so Mathematica will not see it. Existing notebooks that use Presentations style sheets will have to be reset to the new style sheet location.) In Mathematica evaluate $BaseDirectory or $UserBaseDirectory. This will give you a Mathematica folder that contains an Applications folder. The Applications folder is the place to install the Presentations package. 1) Select the downloaded zip file and RIGHT drag it to the Applications folder. 2) Choose: Extract to the Applications folder (not the Presentations of packagepr folder). 3) If you are updating a previous version choose to replace all files. (I am not familiar with unzipping on MacOSX but have been told that it automatically unzips files and puts the folder in the Download directory. You just need to drag it to the Applications folder.) At the conclusion your should have the structure: Mathematica\Applications \Presentations (package files) \FrontEnd \StyleSheets\Presentations\ style sheets \Palettes\Presentations\ palettes \Documentation \English (Help Documentation files and notebooks) After installation go to Mathematica Menu -> Palettes -> Presentations and bring up PresentationsPalette. You should be able to precede from there. The package is loaded with << Presentations` After the package is loaded you can also access the Help browser by evaluating PresentationsHelp within a notebook. Since I seldom use the previous versions of DrawGraphics I have an InertApplications folder, which I created, and put them there along with other packages I am not actively using. Once you are confident about Presentations you can just delete the old packages. If you have Cardano3 its functionality has been built in to Presentations and is no longer useful. _______________________________________________________________ That should work.
