Sources for AYPE Information and materials
Many Washington State museums, libraries, and organizations are involved in the
AYPE Centennial. A list of many groups and organizations can be found at the
Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exhibition Centennial
Celebration Site. A few, but by no means all, are listed here:
University of Washington Special Collections (206) 543-1929 www.lib.washington.edu/specialcoll
Seattle Museum of History and Industry (MOHAI) 206-324-1126 www.SeattleHistory.org
Seattle Public Library (206) 386-4636 www.spl.org
Seattle Municipal Archives (206) 233-7807 www.seattle.gov/CityArchives
Washington State Historical Society (888) 238-4373 www.wshs.org
Washington State Library (360) 704-5221 www.secstate.wa.gov/library
Many local antiquarians, antiques and collectibles dealers, have AYPE material available and can also help evaluate and appraise items. A huge amount of material was created and distributed in conjunction with the fair, any individual who so desires can acquire and enjoy something from the fair at a very reasonable cost.
The following list is very short and incomplete; please email to Dan@AYPE.com if you would like to be included as a source of information, materials, or conservation.
