Jade Walk easement to Shattuck Reservation

Description This public easement leads down a steep slope to an active Medfield Conservation Commission trail that parallels the Charles River. Follow this trail to the right and it connects to the Henry L. Shattuck Reservation. This trail can be wet in spots. Following the trail to the left at the end of the easement and it leads to the Charles River. One can "bushwhack" along the river another quarter mile to Orchard Street, but the terrain can be wet and thorny with no discernable trail.
Aerial View
Location Jade Walk is a short cul-de-sac off of Causeway Street. The trailhead can be found on the west side of the cul-de-sac. It is marked by a pair of wooden posts with round Medfield Conservation Commission markers. Within 10 yards the trail bears left down the embankment and into the woods. A small private property sign serves as a reminder to stay left.
