Medfield State Forest - South

Description This spectacular parcel of approximately 100 acres is a mixture of open fields and woods. The area is bisected by the tree-lined remnants of 'old' Route 27 which terminates at the Charles River near the former location of Death Bridge. A trail loop begins near the parking area, heads to the south of 'old' Route 27 and into the woods and spills back into the fields near the river. This trail is hilly and provides beautiful vistas of the Charles River floodplain.
On the north side of 'old' Route 27, one can find some more open fields, a large wooded hill with some trail access and a canoe launch for the Charles River.
