Check out some other great DX websites on the internet!

  • General DX Websites
    • 100000 Watts
This is a pay site, but it offers radio format changes and updates for free on the front page, and a great searchable database of FM, AM & TV stations to help aid in IDing DX loggings.
    • AFR Station List
Here is a list of all American Family Radio (AFR) stations that is a great help when you have an unidentified AFR-affiliated station in via Tr or Es. Link is in .pdf format.
    • Area Code Listings
Heard an area code that you don't recognize from an unknown station while DXing? This site has a list of area codes, along with their service areas to help you ID stations.
    • CBC Radio 1 and CBC Radio 2 Frequencies
This site is extremely helpful for identifying CBC Radio 1 and CBC Radio Two stations heard from Canada. The website has PDF files available for each province showing both Radio 1 and Radio Two stations, and you can also search by province and town, which is helpful if you heard a legal ID. This website only lists the town and frequency, so you will need the 'FM Canada' spreadsheet from www.dxfm.com or find the call letters out another way for your DX logs..
    • DX Sherlock Real Time Maps
This site is similar to the 'Great Circle' page linked below, although it has a better zoomed-in image of the USA showing signal paths. It also has (during a Sporadic E opening) an estimated MUF indicator that is generally right-on-the-money.
    • Great Circle
This website is a must-visit if you DX by Es. During an Es opening, many lines 'appear' superimposed on the map showing the paths between transmitter and DXer. It helps as a great early warning for Es openings in your area.
    • Grid Square Locator
Here is a handy site that helps you calculate your grid square in Google Maps. All you need to do is zoom the map on your home, click on your home by selecting the 'satellite' option (just like in Google Maps), and it will display your grid square. I used it to find mine: FM18iq. The site can also be used to find the general location of another DXer you hear reports from to help you determine if their reports will bring in DX to your location by typing in their grid square at the bottom of the page.
    • K-Love Station List
Here is a list of all K-Love stations that is a great help when you have an unidentified K-Love station in via Tr or Es. Stations are listed by market served (NOT by the city of license) to make it easier to find the station you are getting.
    • Radio-Locator
Here's a great website that allows you to search for stations by frequency, format, location, zip code, etc. Be warned: they do have a daily limit on how many things you can search for unless you pay for a subscription.
    • Radio Station World
This is a very great FM & TV resource that helps in IDing radio stations received by DX. Unlike 100000 Watts (pay site) and Radio-Locator (free but with daily limits), this website is 100% free.
    • RDS List
This website helps in IDing stations with RDS readouts
    • Tropo Forecast
This website has a colorful map that helps to predict tropo in your area days in advance.
    • TV/FM Skip Log
This website is best when you want to keep tabs on the DX conditions in other parts of the world. There are real-time postings alerting other DXers to currently-happening Es, Ms and Tr openings.
    • US Numbered Highways
This website is invaluable when you only hear of a local traffic report from an unidentified radio station. You can search for roads by what you hear on the traffic report, and use this website as an aid to find a match to the station you heard
    • U.S. VHF TV Logo Gallery
Here is a must-see if you DX the lower TV bands, especially by Es or Tr. This website has maps for every channel 2-7 to help you identify any TV station you get by logo. His maps have each station's logo superimposed over a map of the United States to make it easy to find exactly what you are getting. He also has a great DX section of his website here explaining his DX history, DX records, and TV DX logs.
    • VHF Propagation Map
This site is similar to the Tropo Forecast website, although it only shows current tropo conditions.
    • WTFDA
This is the Worldwide TV-FM DX Association's website. They are the official club for DXers, who produce a monthly magazine called the "VHF-UHF Digest." I've been a WTFDA member since April 2008.
    • WTFDA Forums
This is a great DX forum operated by the WTFDA. However, you don't have to be a member to view or post in the forum. There are forums on topics such as your recent FM & TV DX logs, DX equipment, RDS, and other DX topics. You can also hear audio files from other DXers around the world within the forums.

  • Personal DX Websites
    • Bellvue, NE RDS Captures
This is a very interesting site which has a fellow DXer's gallery of RDS screen captures much like my "RDS Images" page on this website.
    • Chris Kadlec's DX Website
Here is a great DX website by Chris Kadlec, who is based in Fremont, MI. His website goes into great detail on his expertise of DX conditions (including the Great Lakes' influence) in his area. You can also find his DX logs, logos of his area stations, TV DX screenshots, and much more.
    • DXFM
This is one of the best DX websites out there. It has very detailed information such as to how DX works and what you need to successfully DX. The website also has downloadable Excel files with every US, Canada & Mexico radio stations which allows you to put in your coordinates to find exact distances. His site also has DX logs, some RDS images and many TV screenshots from stations received in Lexington, KY.
    • KW4RZ's VHF Radio DXing from Ft. Walton Beach, FL
This is a very great DX website from a fellow DXer in NW Florida. His website has his DX log, working conditions, lots of DX audio files, and many other very useful DX information, such as how to record your DX logs while you are away from your radio!
    • Nick's Florence, NJ FM DXing Page
Another great website by a DXer in the Philadelphia, PA and Trenton, NJ area. His website shows his DX logs, local reception conditions and audio clips from stations he has received via DX.
    • WA5IYX's DX Website
Here is a great website by a DXer based in the San Antonio, TX area. His website has a wealth of information, such as Es conditions he has observed since 1972! He has an adjunct site located here that has even more things on it, such as his DXing biography, pictures of his QSL cards, TV DX photos, RDS screenshots and HD Radio screenshots.
