Analog
TV Screenshots (Nightlight) After
the analog television shut-off on July 12, 2009, a few stations in each city has
remained on-air in analog mode, on their original channel. But, instead of airing
regular programming in analog like the stations have been doing for a long time,
these stations run a continuous loop of a video created by the National Association
of Broadcasters. This video instructs viewers how to switch to DTV. DXers have
called stations that are still airing in analog 'nightlighters.' These nightlight
analog stations are slated to go off-air on 7/12/09, and broadcast exclusively
in digital.
