The materials I am placing on this website come from a photocopy of a microfiche of a transcript of a manuscript by James Bibby. The microfiche is kept in Salt Lake City by the Genealogical Society of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. (The Mormons) It is not available on loan to regional Family History Centres, and I had to pay a genealogist to obtain the photocopy for me.
I have broken the manuscript down into more easily digestible segments. I tried to divide the manuscript up based on subject matter, though I have not changed the order of the material at all. The author mentions things, and then returns to them later. When he changes the subject is typically where I have ended and begun sections.
Generally I have left spelling alone, especially where the author quotes primary sources and other materials. However, occasionally I have fixed spelling errors or inserted or deleted commas where necessary to facilitate better understanding by the reader. If you cannot understand something within this document, it is likely due to the author or someone along the line of it being transcribed. I occasionally insert comments, done as footnotes in a section called Webmaster's Notes.
The following table of contents briefly describes the subject matter of each segment, and you can go directly to a section by clicking on its link in this table:
