Saturday's Lunch will be "a platter of cold meats with a selection of freshly prepared salads" as follows:

Guest Speaker will be Stephen Sartin of Judges' Lodgings Museum in Lancaster. He will be speaking about "The Lancashire patrons of Arthur Devis, a Jacobite sympathiser." Mr. Sartin will be able to tell us the story of the Benisons and Dowbiggins of Hornby Hall, and show us the splendid Devis picture "Hornby Hall and Castle," which hangs in the Judges' Lodgings. Thomas Benison and his wife, Ann Dowbiggin, are shown in the garden of the hall in Devis's painting.

Sunday's Coach Tour will take us first to Dowbiggin, outside Sedbergh. Anyone who would like to can have their picture taken with the sign to Dowbiggin (below). Dowbiggin itself is a small hamlet of farms and houses. From Dowbiggin, we will visit several locations, including (but not limited to) Kirkby Lonsdale, Ingleton, Bentham, Tatham, and Tatham Fells. Please let me know of any locations in the area that you would like to visit.

Come have your picture taken beneath this sign!

Sunday's Pub Lunch will be at the Wheatsheaf in Ingleton, Yorkshire.
