Dowbiggin Wills

Here is where I will post transcriptions of wills from the Public Record Office. I have downloaded a total of 15 wills (see below), and I have begun work on transcribing them. This is a daunting task. If there is a person listed below for whom you would like to see an original will, please contact me. I have the PDF files from the PRO. (I paid £3 each for them, so check here before you download a Dowbiggin will!)

The Public Record Office has no wills available with the surname spelled DOUBIKIN, DOWBEKIN, or DOWBAKIN. Scotland has a will and two "inventories" for William Henry Dowbiggin. The will and one of the inventories is dated 1849, and appear to be for the same man listed above. The other inventory is dated 1867, and appears to be for his son, William Henry Dowbiggin. I have not downloaded these yet. They cost £5 each, and I have my hands full with the English wills.
