The following is a list of enhancements that will be included in the 2009
version of Fantasy Football Assistant. The price for upgrading from
a previous version is again $10.00 this year.
- There will be a conversion routine to convert the data
files from the 2008 version to the 2009 version. This eliminates the
need to set up league information again when upgrading to the newest version.
- Updated player roster for rookies and players that have changed teams.
- NFL schedule and bye week information updated for the 2009 season.
- Quick Stats has expanded the player id from 4 digits to 5 digits. The
conversion will update the NFLROSTR.DAT file and the NFL Player Maintenance
screen has been updated to handle a 5 digit player id.
- NFL Player Maintenance also has a new field added for Injured Reserve. This
will mainly be used by the Free Agent report. Any players that are marked as injured
reserve will not appear on the report.
- Fix in Transaction Maintenance for an issue where the Paid indicator would not
default correctly on a new transaction. If the owner's prepaid balance is equal to
or greater than the transaction amount then the Paid indicator should now default
to checked.
- Web pages for submitting lineups have been enhanced to help eliminate the problem
of owners submitting lineups that are not valid. If a player is on his bye week then that
player's status will be disabled and can not be changed. The background color of any
players whose status is disable will be red. The background color of players that will
be on a bye week the next week will be yellow. Player status will also be disabled if
the team the player is on has already played and stats are present. For example, if the Thursday night
game has been played and you import the stats for that game, you can recreate the lineup
pages and those players that played on Thursday night will have their status disabled. This
allows teams to modify their lineups after the Thursday game, but only for players that
haven't played yet.
- Fantasy points can now be awarded to an offensive player for punt/kick off return yardage.
This scoring option is under the Peformance Scoring table and listed as Kick/Punt Return Yards.
Quick Stats has added a new file for special teams players with the naming convention
of 09wk##cs.txt which will contain the stats for individual kick off and punt return yards.
- Manual Score Entry updated to add a Kick Return Yards field for an offensive player.
