The following is a
list of enhancements that will be included in the 2008
version of Fantasy Football Assistant. The price for upgrading from
a previous version is again $10.00 this year.
- There will be a conversion routine to convert the data
files from the 2007 version to the 2008 version. This eliminates the
need to set up league information again when upgrading to the newest version.
- Updated player roster for rookies and players that have changed teams.
- NFL schedule and bye week information updated for the 2008 season.
- The League Options report has been updated with new options and some that
were missing. Also a fix for a problem introduced when the maximum scoring distance was increased
from 100 to 110 yards.
- Added a new stat to award points for each blocked kick (field goals, extra
points and punts) to the defense and special teams positions.
- New option added to League Options (Roster tab) whether or not to clear the
lineup when starting a new week. Prior versions would always copy the player's status from the
previous week.
- New option added to League Options (Roster tab) whether or not to allow
Update Standings even if a team has an illegal lineup, but only as long as a lineup is short
at one or more positions. If any position exceeds the maximum defined, then you will not
be allowed to continue with the Update Standings until the lineup has been corrected. Positions
that are missing from the lineup will receive 0 points for that position. When using this option,
the menu of team names in Team Maintenance will display a warning icon next to those teams that
do not have a legal lineup but do not exceed any maximums. If a lineup exceeds the maximum for
a position, then the critical icon (red circle with a white X) will be displayed next to the team
name, indicating that team's lineup must be corrected before the Update Standings can continue.
- New option added to the Scoring Leaders report to include only players
that are starters. When printing a range of weeks (for example: year-to-date), then the players that are
included will be those players that were listed as starters for the ending week. If a player is a
starter for that week, then his stats will be accumulated for the entered week range regardless of
whether he started or not the previous weeks.
- When generating an auto transaction is Team Maintenance, the transaction
window will display the team's prepaid balance. If the prepay balance is greater than the transaction
amount, then the Paid indicator will automatically be checked.
- New option in System Options to suppress the file overwrite warning message
when generating a report to a file that already exists.
- If using the Quick Score entry method, the options for printing the detail on
the Weekly Scoring Report are disabled because detail does not apply when using this scoring entry mehtod.
- When Refreshing NFL Player File, if a player has been removed from the new file,
that player will only be deleted as long as he is not on a team roster. If player is on a team roster,
then he will remain in the NFL player list.
