The Goals of the Rehabilitation Centre for the Blind
The Rehabilitation Centre for Visually Impaired Adults has two main, broad goals.
- The first one is to equip the visually impaired adult with the social skills, daily living skills, orientation and mobility skills and communication skills such as reading in Braille and writing Braille.
- The second is to provide the visually impaired adult with vocational skills so that she has the ability and confidence to be self-reliant and to be able to earn a livelihood.
