Construction

Track work continues:

The entire freight line was once again laid on the ground, and small sections were ballasted in at a time.  All track is Aristocraft Stainless Steel joined with Split Jaw Rail Clamps.

Trackwork is complete on the retaining wall side of the layout.

Once ballasted in, the excess ballast is brushed off.  Once the stone dust is rained on, the "dust" washes into the ground and the remaining stones look very prototypical.

Another NS train rolls by in March.

The Norfolk Southern Delmarva Secondary line which runs north to south in Delaware is at the back of the property.  While most trains run at night, occasionally one will appear in daylight.

The Darlington Northern first freight run:

The freight line is now completed, and the U25B hauls it's first consist of empty coal cars.
