 GUIDELINES FOR CHAPTER HISTORIAN

Report due - Send to your Province President.  For specific due date, refer to the Chapter President’s checklist, IB351

             IB375 Annual Chapter Summary
             a. Follow Outline of Annual Chapter Summary, IB 375, but also include a written or typed history in prose;
             b. Keep this history in a permanent, bound book;
            
c. Send a copy to the Province President along with IB375

 Other duties:

           1. Beginning in the fall, keep a monthly file of chapter activities to facilitate writing of the chapter history.
            2. Keep Membership Book up to date.  (The book signed by initiates during the Initiation Ceremony.)

Immediately following the Initiation Ceremony collect biographical information for each initiate. Promptly record this data in the Membership Book.

3. Supervise chapter archives: Keep any WHEEL, which might be valuable to the historical record of the chapter, indicating there on “permanent file”.

Listed below are supplies, which, should be in the Historian's portfolio. The Historian is responsible for the upkeep and care of all equipment and supplies for this office.

 NOTE:  Chapter Library and Archives in custody of the Historian include:

            1.  Chapter History in permanent, bound volume
2.  File of chapter Achievement Books  (scrapbooks)
3.  History of Delta Omicron, 1929 edition  (out of print)
4.  History Issue of the WHEEL, March 1947  (out of print)
5.  Golden Anniversary Issue of the WHEEL, a history, November 1959
6.  60th Anniversary Issue of the WHEEL, Fall 1969
7.   Other WHEELS which are valuable to the historical records of the chapter
