St Marys and Cumberland Island

Don waiting for the ferry to Cumberland Island To the island it takes about 45 minutes There is a long sandy road that runs the length of the island, north to south. All points of interest are located off this main road. It is difficult on the bike. Andrew Carnagie built Dunganese in the 1870's, It burned in 1959. Work crews are fortifying the structure so that it doesn't collapse This structure may have been an arbor or a greenhouse Horses run wild on the island This little guy was so young that he wasn't completely steady on his feet Jim says he doesn't really like his picture being taken. This structure may have been the servants' quarters The coastal oak trees are sprawling and magnificient I stretched out on a picnic table for an afternoon snooze, and this is what I saw above. Time to go already The last sight of the wild horeses Small Catholic church in St. Mary's The Spenser House on St. Mary's. A great place to stay
