| This is a picture of
the "ICON" . My name is Brent Marchant and I
live near Windsor, Ontario. The ICON is 30 ft long,
(lengthened 4 ft using a CAD program on my pc. I left her
beam at 8ft so she can be trailerable. I built her from
scratch,and she poses a lexan window for underwater
viewing, a 300 lb retractable lead fin for ballast and
better steering, and a negative raked windshield for
better visibility in rain or sun glare. It is powered by
a 25 Honda outboard which meets the displacement hull
speed nicely with power to spare. It took myself (working
totally alone) two yrs of time ... compressed into one
year of space. Fifteen hrs a day, 5 days a week for
almost a year.... thats a lot of hours dear friends. The picture of the smaller dory is a boat that I first built and have totally restored and recently sold. Enjoy......! |
