Here's a photo of my newest dory, (also named "Playin' Hooky". This is the first of the Typhoon Class dorys, ( from Hunt for Red October) ;-). She was built to be dropped off a 3 story building, ( I did it off a 2 story wave last summer). She's 19'6" long, 8'6" at the beam, 6'3" bottom. Powered by an 88 Special by Johnson and has a 30 hp Mariner kicker. When new, her top speed was 42 mph but the 88 is getting tired now it's around 35 mph. I want to put a 130 Honda on her but Honda is very proud of that motor ($10,000). This photo was taken by Rus Smith on It'll Toot Too. Captain Hook. |
