Dottie offers art classes on an individual, group or classroom basis. Several times a year she actively seeks opportunities to partner up with local schools, community groups or community centers to offer classes in basic arts and crafts, painting, pastels or water colors. Dottie's past efforts have included work with several Lynn and Salem Public Schools. She also teaches groups of children, teens and adults in her studio. Dottie is open to teaching endeavors in a wide variety of settings and with diverse groups. In collaboration with Gail Dufour, Director of Project Summit, Dottie worked with children in Lynn Schools. These students produced paintings of the local beaches and sites, as well as artwork in the styles of Pablo Picasso and Georgia O'Keefe.
Dottie is a patient teacher that encourages creativity, exploration of possibility and developing sound technique while producing meaningful art. She believes in making a genuine connection with her students and helping them to tap into the "muse" within everyone.
