"Double Dare" has been a worldwide phenomenon with international versions airing in Guam, Puerto Rico, Germany, Australia, and England - just to name a few. In 1991, a software company by the name of "Alternative Software, Ltd." released an electronic version of the British "Double Dare" on an archaic home-computer-type system called the ZX Spectrum 48K - yes, that's "K" as in kilobyte. Included here are the Windows 95 ZX Spectrum Emulator and actual "Double Dare" game file.

With graphics and sound rivaling that of the Atari 2600, The Messiest Website on the Internet is able to bring you exclusive downloads of this less-than-exciting game. It may be more fun to watch slugs race, but this is incredibly collectible and we're bringing it to you first!

These files were found on the Internet and are being passed along to you as a service, no breach in copyright is intended nor ownership to any trademarks implied or challenged. Legal-ese said, download the files then read the help file included with the emulator so you can try to figure out how to play this rare find!

And this is the game file: Britain's Double Dare

Happy playing! The questions are decidedly British and mostly music & movie oriented. It's difficult to figure out which keys control what - but this is a cool look into a forgotten "Double Dare" computer game -- and a look at "Double Dare" in a culture similar to ours, although separated by an ocean.

Here's a screenshot of what the game looks like:
