At left are two examples of Doug's contributions to the trade and mainstream press.

The first is an article written for Computing Channels magazine on Client/Server Technology. The second is a bit of political satire* sent to the San Jose Mercury News.

*To appreciate the wordplay in the latter, you need to know that San Jose has been sacrificing its identity to rename public facilities after ex-mayors. The airport was renamed for Norm Mineta, the convention center for Tom McEnery, and the San Jose Rep Theater for Susan Hammer. And the person pushing this practice is the current mayor, Ron Gonzales.
