Personal Interests:
graduate school at The University of Virginia
flying, boxing (LA Boxing), bicycling, software (Unix/Linux/C),
play the trumpet, and watch way too much TV and
movies (I don't think that it causes drain bamage).
flying! (at http://www.av-ed.com/)
Linux
I am a firm believer in Linux and try to find every opportunity to use it that I can. I use it at home and at work. My old office server had an uptime of 488 days (77,000 WWW hits, 5,000 xterms run, 14 machines mounted filesystems from it) before I left it. All this on a Pentium 286 w/48MB memory and a $50.00 operating system (Red Hat 5.2) that from 1 to 3 people were using all day.
Bicycling
Cannondale R1000 (triple) I finally broke down and bought an upright road bike because I was getting tired of falling behind on the hill climbs when I was on my recumbent. This is a great bike.
Linear recumbent, long wheel base (LWB), underseat steering, you will not find a more comfortable ride, trips with it include:
Santana Sovereign aluminum tandem (a seriously fast bike)
Bike Friday New World Tourist, great for travelling with a bike, our trips with them include:
Trek 820 MTB for tooting around the off road areas here
