The similarity of the dates of birth for this James Lawrence and the James Lawrence who was s/o William Lawrence & Lydia Reynolds of Lubec, born 20 Apr 1824, leads to speculation that they may be the same person. The parents of the James of Lubec died when he was age 6 and no further record has been found.
Courier & Gazette (published Cherryfield Dec 1910) gives birth date. The Cherryfield 1905 census says that his wife was Mary Wass? (this must refer to daughter Mary who married a Wass).
