JUNIOR GOLF TOURNAMENT REQUIREMENTS

  1. The date of the Juniors Tournament will be on a week day between June 15 and August 15.  The date should not conflict with other state or local tournaments.

2.  A participant must be a member of a D.P.G.A. affiliated club and must not have reached his/her 18th birthday on the day of the tournament.

3. Winners will be determined by medal play, gross scores only.  U.S.G.A and local rules will apply.

4.  There will be two divisions of play.  The Junior Division will be those who are over 14 years of age, but have not reached their 18th birthday.  The Junior-Junior Division will be those who have not reached their 15th birthday.

5.  There will be three flights in each division and three winners in each flight.  Flights will be determined by handicap.  A participant may enter the championship flight by request on the entry form regardless of handicap.

6.  There will be only one or more flights for girls, determined by the number of entries.

7.  The host club reserves the right to limit high-handicap Junior-Juniors to nine holes in order to speed up play.

8.  Electric or other mechanical carts are not allowed.

9.  It is requested that friends or parents do not accompany  participants.

10. Trophies, provided by the D.P.G.A. , will be the order of prizes.  Merchandise prizes will not be awarded for this tournament.

11. First place ties in the Junior Championship Flight (man and female) will be settled by sudden death play-offs beginning with hole # 1.  All other ties will be resolved by matching cards, beginning with hole #1.

12. In order to defray the costs of the tournament, it is suggested that a minimal entry fee be charged.  A portion of the entry fee shall to the D.P.G.A. Scholarship Program.

13. The D.P.G.A. will subsidize the costs of trophies for this event.  Prior approval of the D.P.G.A. Administrative Assistant for the cost of the trophies is required.
