Animals of the Woods

Hello, this is the Doctor. If you have checked Gulliver's personal page as of late you know that he is not well. Until recently he has been doing well on his medication but in the past few weeks he has been ill a good bit of the time. With that in mind he asked me if I would like to work on the Animals of the Woods website. I have never written anything but prescriptions but while retirement is relaxing it does have its dull moments so perhaps this will give me a chance to discover my creative mouse...um I mean muse.
I think to help clarify things for new readers and to refresh the minds of older ones, I am going to develop a time line so you can see at a glance where things are. I hope to add updates to my personal page regarding current events here. Of course everyone still has their personal page to add to as they see fit.

Animals of the Woods Timeline


Summer 1997	Mother begins the this section of the website as a memorial to Samantha. She edits Sam's memoirs and creates Sam's page.
About November 1997	Mother meets Gulliver online. He is in foster care in Virginia and looking for a forever home.
Feb 1998	Gulliver arrives in Delaware to take up residence with Mother, Dad, Lady and Sid. Seymour Squirrel lives in the courtyard of the apartment complex. Gulliver takes over the website shortly thereafter.
May 1999	Merlin moves in from the apartment across the hall where he was born.
Oct 2000	Mother, Dad, Lady, Gulliver, Merlin and Sid move to Lancaster County PA where they meet Sarah Squirrel who lives in the trees on and near our property. She visits on the back porch during the favorable weather.
Nov 2003	I (the Doctor) arrive from Delaware.
Apr 2005	Gulliver is diagnosed with mast cell cancer and begins chemotherapy.
Oct 2005	Lady dies Oct 21, about two months after being diagnosed with lymphoma.
Aug 2006	Gulliver died suddenly on Aug 12. He had been doing well up through the previous day.
May 2008	Sid died nearly two years after being diagnosed with kidney failure.
