All about D.RAINged Racing
Dean Rain lives in Greensburg, Pa and is co-owner of Rain’s Auto Body, along with his brother, Randy. Dean brings over 30 years of motorcycle riding experience to his races. He drag races a 1997, 1428cc, Kawasaki drag bike. Dean builds and tunes his own motors. You can be sure that equipment using the latest technology is on this racing machine.
Dean is entering his 9th season of motorcycle drag racing. Early in the 2001 season Dean had an unfortunate racing accident and suffered a few broken bones. While recovering, he rebuilt the drag bike making it stronger and faster than ever. The bike came out with brand new look with artwork from Design Works, Glassport, Pa. He added a slider clutch, remote display, and reinforced the rear frame.
Dean restarted the 2001 season in August and closed it out with a huge 1st place finish at Norwalk Raceway Park, Norwalk, Ohio. He also won the Most Impressive Motorcycle award at Keystone Raceway, New Alexandria, Pa. and holds their all-time record for the fastest motorcycle at 177 mph in the ¼ mile.
D.RAINged Racing is currently sponsored by Bob Thomas Kawasaki of Irwin, Pa. and Jeff Myslewski Chiropractic, Greensburg, Pa. We are always in search of new sponsors to become part of the team.
Dean’s most mentionable 1st place wins include the 1996, 2001 and 2002 Halloween Classic at Norwalk Raceway Park, Ohio. In 1999 he was #1 in the points at Keystone Raceway. He has also won 1st place many times at Keystone Raceway and Mason Dixon Dragway (near Hagerstown, Md).
