How do I calculate my round win percentage and performance rating?

Huh?

For example:  My home track is Pittsburgh Raceway Park. Let’s look at the big picture.  Lets say I concentrated my efforts at Pittsburgh Raceway Park and ran at 12 points races there. The class I race in, motorcycle, often goes 7 rounds in order to win for the day.

I would have 84 possible rounds to my credit (12 events x 7 round event).  With a pretty solid year, let's say I made it to the 4th round every week.  That means I won 3 rounds and lost 1 round.  My totals for the season would be 36 round wins (12 x 3), 12 losses, and 84 possible rounds.

Round win percentage = wins / (wins + losses) = 36 / 48 = 75% or .750

Win-out-of-possible = wins / possible = 36 / 84 = 42.8% or .428

PERFORMANCE RATING = ((round win * 2) + win-out-of-possible) / 3 = ((.750 * 2) + .428) / 3 = .642
