My Running Charm Bracelet

As a reward to myself for running marathons and half  marathons (and as motivation to run more races - what women doesn't like jewelry?), I asked for a charm bracelet for my 30th birthday.  The bracelet represents me as a runner and my growth in running.  I have a running girl charm;  a charm that reminds me to ask "What would the Connectors Do?" when I get frustrated and don't think I can go on; and my "No More Excuses" charm - the Connectors motto.

After the Marine Corps Marathon I added a charm to represent the race: a Marine Corps uniform hat with the eagle and globe symbol on the top.  After completing the Disney Marathon in January I added a sterling silver Mickey Mouse to my bracelet.  After each marathon and half marathon, I will identify a symbol to represent that race and I will add it to the bracelet.  I will also photograph the charm and post a photo here for all to see what I have chosen to represent the race.  I also have my penguin, and plan to add Donald Duck to the bracelet after the Disney Half Marathon in January.

To purchase a bracelet, necklace or other charms - contact Laura Garrett via e-mail - you can also view her website to see examples of her sterling silver jewelry.
