Me Run???  NOT!!!

At least that is what I used to think!!  After completing treatment for cervical cancer, I decided to train to run a marathon (I thought - "Hey, you survived chemo, why not?)  I was never a runner, and never considered myself the body type to be a runner.  I have run 4 marathons and 8 half marathons since beginning this journey in April 2000.  I am a member of the Penguin Brigade and I rely on my penguin friends to help inspire me to achieve my goals!!!

So - I look at it his way... if I can do this - anyone can!  I plan to continue my running, training and playing with running.  It provides me opportunities to travel and meet great people.

"Far Better it is to dare the mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with the poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows not victory no defeat" - Theodore Roosevelt

"Courage is not often heard as a roar,
But as a quiet statement at the end of the day,
"I will try again tomorrow""
