Welcome to the home page of our Music Technology Program, where you will learn a few things about this exciting combination of music and technology.
Here are a few photos of our workstations used in the Digital Music Technology the program.
Notice that each eMac computer has its own MIDI keyboard for note input. To the left of each computer is an audio interface, used to plug in microphones, guitars, etc. for recording.

This is a screen shot of the eMac operating environment. Program icons are located at the bottom of the screen (in an area called the Dock) for easy location and launching. You can see at a glance which programs are running.
Below is a screen shot of GarageBand, a multi-track recording program that works with MIDI instruments as well as "real" instruments and/or voice. Create professional sounding recordings of your original compositions or arrangements! When finished, your song can be exported to iTunes and be played on your iPod, or you can create your own CD!
Below is a screen shot of Sibelius, a powerful and easy-to-use notation program. Notes can be entered by clicking a mouse or playing the MIDI keyboard. Create professional looking printed scores of your original compositions or arrangements!
Below is a screen shot of Pitch Coach, an ear-training program. You can practice your intervals, scales, chords, and improve your musical ear!
Here's a CMS student hard at "work" on a composition!
