I am a former student of Montgomery College in Montgomery County, Maryland. I graduated with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Computers. I am now going for my Bachelors in Information Technology (IT).
Montgomery College is a wonderful institution with wonderful teacher and helpful staff not to mention endless possibilities. The years that I spent there among the three campuses (Germantown, Rockville, Takoma Park/Silver Spring), I would not trade for anything. All the wonderful memories that I will always cherish and all the friends that I made. At the beginning it seemed easy but it got harder and harder with easy in between. I never gave up as much as I believed that I could not do it, but I did do it and look what I archived . Even though I changed my major twice I followed my chosen track until the end.

If you have not figured out by looking at the main cam page I love pandas. Especially our beloved ones at the National Zoo in Washington D.C.; Mei Xiang (F) which means beautiful fragrance and Tian Tian (M) which means more and more, and Tai Shan (M). Tai Shan was born on July 9, 2005. His Mother is Mei Xiang and his father is Tian Tian. When he was born people referred to him as "butterstick" since he was the size of a stick of butter when he was born. In accordance with Chinese tradition he was not named Tai Shan (which means "Peaceful Mountain") until he was 100 days old. For more information about the Pandas please visit the National Zoo website. Tai Shan is the first panda cub born at the National Zoo to survive for more than a few days and is only the third to survive in the United States.

"July 9, 2005, was among the most important dates in the 177-year history of the Smithsonian's National Zoological Park. When the zoo announced that a giant panda cub was born at 3:41 A.M. at the Zoo's Fujifilm Giant Panda Habitat, it seemed the whole world took notice. Panda fans everywhere were able to watch and listen to every cuddle, lick, and squeal of a tiny panda cub and its doting mother on the Zoo's website, via "panda cams" trained on the secluded den. And people did so in astonishing numbers! Many reported maintaining near 24/7 vigils on their computers so as not to miss a minute of the action, even when the action was merely mother and baby sleeping."

"He was born tiny, his eyes were closed, and he was almost hairless. Since Tai Shan's birth at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo on July 9, 2005, millions of people worldwide have watched him, his mother, Mei Xiang, and his father, Tian Tian, through the Zoo’s panda web cams. We watched Mei Xiang feed, hold, and clean her new baby, and we watched the cub grow and learn new skills each day." (Source)
When I first saw him in person on January 18, 2006, he was asleep in his tub, from that point on I became attached to him. I like all Pandas but Tai Shan holds a special place in my heart. Tai Shan and his parents could brighten up anybody's day. He was weaned (separated) from Mei Xiang on February 22, 2006. People came from all around to see the National Zoo pandas especially Tai Shan.
"Tai Shan made his public debut on December 8, 2005, after the National Zoo issued 13,000 free timed entry tickets. These tickets were gone within 2 hours,
and some were quickly offered for sale on eBay and craigslist, with an "asking price as high as $500 apiece." (Wikipedia)
Tai Shan was supposed to return to China soon after his second birthday. I could not imagine him going back to China, I would be heart broken., I was attached to him like so many people. But on April 24, 2007 the news came that his stay has been extended for 2 years (July 2009), I was so glad to hear that news.
".......... Per the agreement with China, the Chinese government can require that Tai Shan be sent to China any time after he turns 2 as he, like his parents, is the property of China (Mei Xiang and Tian Tian are technically being "leased" to the United States by the Chinese government in a ten-year, $10 million agreement, with the money to go to panda conservation research in China.).......... (Wikipedia)
"According to a panda loan agreement with China, any cub born would be returned to China sometime after its second birthday. However, due to Tai Shan's popularity, in April 2007 Chinese Ambassador Zhou Wenzhong presented Tai Shan a "passport" with an extended stay period to July 2009, without extra charge". (Wikipedia)
On his first exam on August 2, 2005 he weighed 1.82lbs and measured 12" long. On January 28, 2007 during his physical he weighed 157lbs. I have watched him since he was born and I still am attached to him. I try to visit him Mei Xiang, and Tian Tian and other animals at least once every 2 weeks if not more. Even if Mei Xiang does have another cub I will still go to seen Tai Shan first.

People loved him. For people who watch him Mei Xiang, and Tian Tian on the webcam it cheers up there day, but seeing them in person will bring brings tears of joy. Recently some people from England and Ireland came to the National Zoo, they have never never seen the National Zoo pandas in person, just on the webcam. But when they saw Tai Shan eating bamboo that brought tears of joy to there face. Words can not describe it. Imagine that you have been watching him since he was born, but finally getting my opportunity to see him and his parents, how would you react? Tai Shan has brought joy and happiness to so many people. He and his parents have been in the news countless times including a couple of times on the front page. Tai Shan is a very special bear..........
"The panda cub is featured in an Animal Planet documentary titled A Panda Is Born, which follows the National Zoo's giant panda breeding efforts and Tai Shan's birth. A few months after Tai Shan's first birthday, Animal Planet premiered a documentary titled Baby Panda's First Year, which followed him during his first 12 months at the National Zoo." (Wikipedia)
The cub has also become widely popular, he is frequently mentioned on D.C.-oriented websites, such as DCist, FreeButterstick.org, and Wonkette, as well as traditional media outlets, including National Public Radio, The Washingtonian, The Washington Post, and The Washington Times. Fans have set up sites selling cub-related merchandise, including one partnered with cafepress.com that donated approximately $1,900 in profits to the National Zoo." (Wikipedia)
I also enjoy biking, skiing, nature, computers, abstract art, photography and many others.
When I take pictures I usually take pictures of things that people may see as nothing much, but to me they are interesting to me and worth a picture..
When it comes to abstract art, I make "junk sculptures " or "junk art" out of old and/or dead electronics, computer parts, and other items. I make them into things that do not look like much, but are interesting to look at.
As for computers, I built my own computer. I refuse to buy a computer that comes out of the box ready to use. That rule only applied to desktops and not laptops. The reason have that rule is because when you buy a computer (desktop), you get other stuff that you sometimes don't need or want and sometimes that are pointless. When you build you only put the stuff that you want and nothing else, that way you get the most of your money. But building computers in not for everyone. I also fix, build, modify computers in my spare time. AMD will always be better then Intel in my mind no matter what happens. My first computer ever was a AMD, and have never built an Intel based PC. The only way that I will build an Intel based computer is if the user specifically requests or I think its a better choice.
