Page Requirements:

• For optimal viewing conditions, I recomend using the Mozilla Firefox web browse at a resolution of 1024 x 768
• All my pages have been tested on: Microsoft Internet Explorer (v5.0x & higher) | Mozilla Firefox (v1.5x & higher) | Opera (v9.x & higher) | Apple Safari (v3.x and higher)
• If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer ActiveX needs to be enabled to view the Microsoft Windows Media Player webcams (National Zoo only) and Apple Quick Time webcams (Adelaide Zoo)

• The National Zoo and Chengdu China webcams require Microsoft Windows Media Player
• The Zoo Atlanta, Memphis Zoo, and San Diego Zoo webcams require Adobe Flash Player
• The Adelaide, Australia Zoo webcams require Apple QuickTime
• Java Script must be enabled on your browser.
• Please Note: If you are getting 2 of the same webcams, not getting the Atlanta cam, pages not rendering properly, etc....., you may need to clear your cache. Instructions on how to do this can be found here. For more information on why you have to do this please read the April 11, 2008 update(s) on my site updates page.

Webcams Information:

• Smithsonian's National Zoo Giant Panda Webcams:
  • The webcams broadcast 24/7, unless technical difficulties arise.
  • Cam #1, automatically times-out after 5 minutes; Cam #2 automatically times-out after 15 minutes. One the zoo website (Cam #1) "Due to a lot of visitors to this page, you may be unable to watch camera one. If you are unable to connect, try camera two. Today we are limiting sessions to five minutes to allow more people to view the cam." and 15minitues on cam #2. But after doing a little testing, both cams will refresh after 4 minutes & 57 seconds, unless you are on No Auto-Refresh cam page.
  • The webcams are equipped with audio, if you were to mute the cams; when the cams refresh the audio will be e-enabled.
  • The webcam can be viewed in full screen by double click on the webcam window.
  • Spotty outages can occur.
  • Media controls are available on the bottom of the webcam window.

• Zoo Atlanta Giant Panda Webcam:
  • The process of updating/remove the Atlanta cam is not automatic, this is done by me. Since I am not always at the computer around at 10am (EST) and/or 5pm (EST). I may be delayed in adding/removing the cam. If I know that I will not be able to add/remove the cam, I will put up a message under announcements (Unforeseen circumstances excluded).
    • If I cannot update my page at 10am (EST) you can view the Atlanta cam on their website.
  • The webcam only broadcasts: Monday - Friday from 10am - 5pm EST, unless technical difficulties arise.
  • The webcam feed is set to time out after 10 minutes.The cam window will automatically refresh after 9 minutes and 57 seconds, unless you are on No Auto-Refresh cam page.
  • Once the Atlanta Cam is off-line, the whole cam window will be removed. When it's back on-line, the cam window will be back.
  • No audio is available.
  • Spotty outages can occur.
  • No media controls are available.
  • The webcam can be viewed in full screen by double click on the webcam window.

• Memphis Zoo/San Diego Zoo Giant Panda Webcam:
  • The webcams broadcast 24/7, unless technical difficulties arise.
  • No audio is available.
  • Spotty outages can occur.
  • The webcam can have spotty outages.
  • The webcam can not be viewed in full screen.
  • No media controls are available.

• Adelaide Zoo Giant Panda Webcams:
  • The webcams broadcast 24/7, unless technical difficulties arise
  • The webcams have no sound.
  • The webcams can have spotty outages.
  • The webcam can not be viewed in full screen.
  • No media controls are available.

• Bifengxia Giant Pandas Base Webcams:
  • Live video streams: daily from 5:00pm. - 4:00am Pacific Standard Time (PST)
  • Best viewing hours: 5:30pm - 7:30pm & 10:30pm - 12:30am Pacific Standard Time (PST) and 9:30am - 11:30am & 2:30pm - 4:30pm China Time (CT)
  • According the website....while the Pandas are sleeping, the cams will show clips and recent highlights.
  • The webcams have no sound.
  • The webcams can have spotty outages.
  • Media controls are available on the bottom of the webcam window.

• Smithsonian's National Zoo African Lion Webcams
  • The webcams broadcast 24/7, unless technical difficulties arise.
  • The webcams are equipped with audio, if you were to mute the cams; when the cams refresh the audio will be e-enabled.
  • The webcams can have spotty outages.
  • Media controls are available on the bottom of the webcam window.

• North American Bear Center Webcams
  • You have to press the orange play button in the lowe right hand corner of the webcam window to get the cam started. You may have to wait for the commerical to play before you see the live webcam.
  • The webcams broadcast 24/7, unless technical difficulties arise.
  • The webcams are equipped with audio.
  • The webcams can have spotty outages.
  • Media controls are available on the bottom of the webcam window.

• Even though the webcams are on 24 hrs a day; there is not always someone operating the webcams.
• If you get a error along the lines of "Sorry, the page you were looking for could not be found.". That is a issues with Comcast's servers. My pages are up 24/7.
