In the main window, go to Tools > Settings > Auto-saving tab
If you want make "Auto-saving is active" box is checked" that will enable to take continuous screen shots without having to worry about saving. So when you take a screen shot it will automatically save it.
Specify the location of where to save your screen shots in the "Save to folder" box.
Specify the file name for each screen shot in the "Use this file name" box.
If you want you check the "auto-add numeric suffix" box.
If you want you check the "auto-add date/time suffix", you can choose the format. Click on the "?" for help.
Click "Apply" then "Ok".
At the main window, there are 5 options boxed in red.
Fixed rectangle > If you want to capture a rectangle of any size. Click [Snap fixed rectangle]; wait for the dotted box to appear, drag it around once you have the area left-click to capture it. Edit the size in
[Select the rectangle size] right under the boxed options in red .
Amy rect. area > If you want to capture, any rectangular portion of your screen. Click [Snap fixed rectangle], wait for the cross hair, left-click & drag until you have the area , left-click to capture .
Window/menu > If you want to capture a window or menu. click [Snap window/menu]; wait for the dotted box to appear. These are defined areas and cannot be changed. Just drag the box around the screen and it will lock onto window/menus, left-click to capture.
Full desktop > If you want to capture what you monitor looks like at the point. Click [Snap full desktop] to capture.
Repeat last > If you want to repeat the last command (fixed rectangle, any rect. area, window/menu, and full desktop).
Notes:
If you take a screen capture and the result is black, that is because video overlay is enabled in Windows Media Player. To fix this open Windows Media Player and:
Go to the [Tools] menu and then [Options].
Performance Tab.
Under Video acceleration click the [Advanced] button.
Under Video Acceleration, make sure the [Use overlays] box is unchecked, but the [Use video mixing render] is still checked.
Apply and restart the player.
Once you snap the area you will see your snap in the preview window. If "Auto-saving is active" find the folder that you specified in step 3.
Once set the options set is step 3 do not need to be changed unless you want to.
