Interpreting
God's Beautiful Creation in Watercolors
For
me,
painting is a relatively new passion. In my teens, I played guitar
and sang
in a Christian coffeehouse, and then sang and played guitar and piano
and performed in clubs, outdoor cafes and piano bars in my twenties. I also wrote both songs and instrumental pieces. One of
my pieces (a guitar duet) was performed as a senior recital by two
guitar majors at Florida State University, where I majored in Psychology
and minored in Religion (and completed 45 hours in music).
I went on to pursue
a Masters in Counseling from Georgia State University, and a Masters and Ph.D. in Clinical
Psychology from Auburn University. I have been a psychotherapist for
over twenty years. In my
private practice, I work with children, adolescents, adults, families and couples.
I have
specialized with individuals who have suffered from trauma and abuse.
In addition to painting and doing therapy, I am also actively
involved in a church and local Bible study. If Jesus hadn't
saved me, I probably wouldn't be alive today. If you'd like to
know more, please contact me.
