Getting Started
- 12/2/07

|
|
The first thing is to
prepare your work area:

I cleaned out the backyard shed and
converted it to the bike shop. The lawnmower has been
relegated to a tarp cover behind the shed. A clean comfortable
work space with electricity, heat and, of course, an awesome sound
system. |
|
One piece at a
time. I've been gradually going through the parts and
identifying them. In some cases, once they're
identified, the parts are cleaned, put in a baggie and
labeled until it's time to attach them to the bike.. |
|
The parts bin...
...getting organized. |
|

 |
| Spent the first couple of
days of actual work cleaning the frame and associated parts
to get it ready for primer and paint. Wire brushes,
sand paper and rust remover. We got to the point of
priming the frame by the end of the second day. Jim
and Tracy both came over and helped with the scraping and
sanding. We'll probably
work on getting the chassis together and then focus on the
motor. |

we're working on sanding the frame too. |
