The Team

Bert

The original and only owner of the Enduro.  Bert bought the bike while on shore call on the island of Cyprus in 1970.  He rode the goat trails on Cyprus until the company made him get rid of it.  So he had it shipped back to the states.

Bert, and his wife Marty, rode the bike when he got back home to Texas.  Not long afterward the oil pump throttle cable broke and the piston blew.

He tore the bike down and bought a new piston, rings, bearings, gaskets, etc. with the intent of a complete rebuild.  Well, I guess life got in the way.

Thirty something years later, there's some rust but the parts are still there and in relatively good condition (with exception of the forks).  The odometer shows 2130 miles.  I hope to have it turning again.

David

Yours truly.  A motorcycle enthusiast and amateur mechanic.  Inspirational leader of the team.   This will be my first bike restoration.  Hope I'm not biting off more than I can chew.  But I'm fired up and looking forward to it.

Hopefully the book will help.

Jim

Ace mechanic.  Jim's the first person I thought of when I realized I'm going to need help.  Not his first rodeo.
